Regulatory bodies in England and Wales for which PWSC developed MOSPA/MOSES tools and water resource strategy studies.
PWSC first supported the National Rivers Authority North West Region in the late 1980s and early 1990s, implementing MOSPA on microcomputer platforms and creating generalised system models. Subsequent work included development of the MOSES run-time environment for MOSPA, providing schematic editing, database facilities and graphical outputs. Joint NRA/North West Water studies analysed redeployment of Lake Vyrnwy and national water resources strategy options. After the NRA merged into the Environment Agency, PWSC continued to support regulatory studies, including enhancement of MOSPA and MOSPA/MOSES based assessments of the River Dee system and integrated regional water resources under environmental and habitat constraints.
