A configuration of reservoirs, waterways and power stations used to generate electricity from water stored in upstream catchments.
Covers single and multi-reservoir hydropower systems, including cascades along a river. In PWSC work these schemes are modelled to capture storage behaviour, turbine capacities, inflow variability and operating rules for energy generation and water management.
