In 1995 PWSC worked with London Economics on an ODA funded electricity tariff study for Tanzania. PWSC updated and applied hydro-thermal optimisation models to examine conjunctive operation during drought conditions and assess the impact of gas turbine installations, providing technical inputs to the economic analysis and tariff recommendations led by London Economics.
