UK aid agency for which PWSC contributed to major hydroelectric appraisal and planning studies.
The UK Overseas Development Administration engaged PWSC on several occasions. In 1986 PWSC carried out an engineering and economic post-evaluation study of the 210 MW Victoria Dam and hydroelectric power station in Sri Lanka. In 1988 PWSC assisted with preliminary appraisal of the 1,200 MW Guangzhou pumped storage scheme in China, reviewing technical and economic information. ODA also funded tariff and optimisation studies in Tanzania undertaken with London Economics and Kennedy & Donkin.
